iPhone 15 charging exceeds the set optimisation limit of 80%

There's an issue with charging. My iPhone 15 Pro Max has the 'Optimize Charging' feature set to 80%, but for some reason, it still charges beyond 80%. What could be the problem? 😭😭😭

It says right there...

"With 80% Limit enabled, your iPhone will occasionally charge to 100 percent to maintain accurate battery state-of-charge estimates."

You iPhone learns as it goes. You have to build in maximum capacity as a bench mark reference— it is not static it is dynamic.

I would just use your iPhone as you see fit. give 3 months, check back in 6 months and compare your results.

I would not fixate on the battery

≤ 80% maximum capacity is when Apple suggests the battery is eligible for replacement
