My MacBook Air takes 2 minutes to indicate it’s charging after plugging it in. Should I be concerned?

Were you having the same issue with the original power adapter and charging cable?

Did you purchase Apple branded OEM items on Amazon, or some third party options. Third party items on Amazon are usually a crap shoot on quality & reliability. Sometimes it can be tricky even confirming you received an OEM product or even an unopened items since Amazon's return & resale process is not very good either.

Are you using a Magsafe 3 charging cable? If so, then try using a USB-C charging cable instead. If you are already using a USB-C charging cable, then try using another USB-C port especially on the other side of the laptop if possible. Also disconnect all other external devices in case one of them is causing a problem. Try connecting the power adapter directly to the laptop since adapters/docks/hubs may not allow the full power of the charger to reach the laptop.

You can try running the Apple Diagnostics to see if any hardware issues are detected.

FYI, you should always provide the exact model of your device and version of OS as well. You can get this information by clicking the Apple menu and selecting "About This Mac".
