Is there any way to add links to files in a MAC file system into a Notes App note?

To be clear, the point is to have links from Notes that reference files in the File System, but *not* to copy the whole file into notes (which can be very large). For example, I'd like to have a link (Alias?) to large PDF files stored on iCloud Drive, such that when I tap on the link it opens whatever PDF reader to view. Same for links to Pages, Keynote, Numbers files, et al. Thanks - BJL

I haven't finished watching AlWeir's linked video, but got intrigued, so I tried just grabbing an xlsx file my iCloud drive and dragging it to Notes-- I got this

When I click on it it opens in Excel. When I close Excel, the above link is what remains. I tried it with a pdf, and it seems to be the same, except that it opens in Notes, and I haven't figured out how to close it, yet! But it is a link, not a copy of the document.

But dragging from iCloud Drive seems to work. Pretty cool!
