Error “As per UPI guidelines, UPI are supported only in iPhone XS and above“

I am using an Iphone 8+ with ios 16.7.8,I try to activate my upi id in google pay but it say “As per UPI guidelines,upi are supported only in iphone XS and above “ but in my paytm my upi id got activated.I don’t why it shouldn’t work in google pay but works in paytm So what should I do then
