iPad will not connect to Vodafone Wifi 6 Internet Service

Just changed from Sky intervener to Vodafone wifi6 internet. I have 2 iPads. One is 2 years old and the problem iPad is several years old running IOS 10.3.3. It will not connect but my other iPad does. I have taken my iPad to connect to Virgin Media’s service and it connects without issue. Does anyone know if this is due to the operating system not being ‘capable’ to connect to wifi 6? This is the latest version of the IOS it will allow me to install. Thanks

Consider that your Router, to which you are attempting to connect, may be configured to require support for security features that are not supported by older versions of iOS - such as installed on your iPad4.

If your router is configured for WPA3, or WPA3/WPA2 mixed authentication, you will need to change this to WPA2 PSK(AES). Only newer models of iPad support WPA3.

Be sure that you correctly enter the passcode. Maybe forget the router in settings and reenter the details or try entering the network information manually.

Sometimes resetting the router/modem clears it out and speeds it back up. Service providers sometimes recommend doing this once every month.

But iPad 10.3.3 is 4th gen which was from 2012, so maybe it can’t connect to WiFi 6, even though WiFi 6 is stated to work with anything WiFi 5 compatible.

Maybe if you plug a different older router into the new one and try and connect it to that one then it will work.
