I get “Deceptive website warning” on Safari, but not on other browsers

Hi, why am I getting this error on my website (hdgrs.io) when logging in via safari browser?

I assume this is because of the article that describes the work in the testnet of the new blockchain. Any other checks the site passes perfectly. The only problem is with safari

One of the automated services that monitors website reputation shows the rating as quite low, and lists the following concerns:

    • “The identity of the owner of the website is hidden on WHOIS
    • The Tranco rank (how much traffic) is rather low
    • The registrar of this website is popular amongst scammers
    • Cryptocurrency services detected, these can be high risk
    • The age of this site is (very) young.“

and the rating rage is listed as “1 to 20 - Very likely UnsafeWebsites in this range have a high risk of being malicious or untrustworthy. They may contain malware, phishing and scams. Please exercise extreme caution and avoid entering any personal information.”

While trying to verify some basic details, I get: “WHOIS lookup not available for this domain name.”

As for the Safari details, here’s the usual message text from Apple:

Deceptive Website Warning

This website may try to trick you into doing something dangerous, like installing software or disclosing personal or financial information, like passwords, phone numbers or credit cards”.

That seems fairly self-explanatory.

Here’s why Google reports these sorts of warnings:

Few (none?) of the various services will provide details for their rating algorithms.

Until cryptocurrency entities comply with financial regulations including Know Your Customer and Anti-Money Laundering regulations, the whole area is going to be considered somewhat suspect. (And yes, KYC and AML compliance is antithetical to what various participants in cryptocurrency might prefer.)

As for new websites and those websites with hidden ownerships, assumptions there do track with sketchy and problematic and fraudulent websites. Website will age out of parts of that classification as time passes and traffic and linking builds.

Report your perception of a detection error here, of course.

Hi

  1. Whois is hidden because the domain is registered to a physical person, and if you show the data, my personal data (phone number, home address) will be visible
  2. Little traffic because the site is very young, like you said, the domain is small age. But we have youtube channel, telegram channel, telegram chat we do one name everywhere and try to get more traffic
  3. Cryptocurrency services are testnet? simply we publish only official information (links to githubs of project developers) or information we take from serious and large sites (coinmarketcap, cryptorank and so on).
  4. About the hosting provider I didn't know, you can see my other site running on the same hosting, I had no problems with it. I saw the bad reviews and other information only after digging deeper into this issue. In the future, we will change hosting provider to a more serious and experienced company, thank you for this information

Deceptive Website Warning

but we are not trying to deceive anyone, it is just an information platform, some articles are reviews of projects, and for example in the article about airdrop tokens it is written that we do not know whether it will be or not)))))) Most other sources don't do that. We try to be honest with our audience

we have no errors or fraud warnings on google

Thanks again for the information provided, something to think about. But I think it is wrong to judge a site because of its age and small traffic, as well as because of hidden WHOIS. Many individuals hide WHOIS. I hope algorithms to identify fraudulent sites will improve, because our site is not one of them
