My phone is not playing when it’s connected to usb in car
when I plug my phone into my USB port in my car it’s charging but not playing music. It says no music found no matter the app I use.

I believe I know what it is. Some older cars have the ability to use an iPod in the car via the usb port. We have a 2015 Nissan Murano and the same issue happens. If you go into control center, and click the Airplay icon and it says "Dock Connecter" then that is what it is. One way to get around this is to use the 12V port on your car.
