Recover 2010 iMac with El Capitan but no keyboard or mouse

I re-read the instructions on the Apple support pages to find that I had missed the bit about needing a USB keyboard if I close Bluetooth.

Now, I can't restart by using Command+R.

My purpose is to get into Utilities and erase my Mac.

Is there a way I can do this without a keyboard?
