my left airpod randomly stopped working and it isnt reconnecting

my left airpod randomly stopped working, and even after charging it, it wont reconnect. My right airpod works fine, and connects whenever i put it in my ear, but the left doesnt. when i put my right airpod in the case the light turns orange to charge it, but the left airpod doesnt change the colour of the light, it doesnt even flash green. This is the second time this has happened, and in the exact same way.
