iphone photos not syncing with icloud & using up over 1/2 my iPhone storage for the photos app alone!

Sorry & here’s more info as follows;

• I am using optimise storage settings & have always had that set to on
• icloud currently shows all photos & videos within it apart from any linger videos I’ve taken in the last 2 weeks which won’t upload.
• the phone constantly tries to sync photos but then stops to save battery (it’s not on battery safe mode & even when plugged in this keeps happening)
• In iCloud I’ve got over 1.3 terabytes of space available
• within the photo app on my phone 1/2 my albums are now missing albeit they are still in the cloud
• the photo app in my phone has conflicting stats & whilst some of my recent photos are still uploading to iCloud as noted above any videos longer than 1 & 1/2 mins won’t upload
• there are so many random anomalies on the phone that shouldn’t be happening but are happening thus is why I think it’s a glitch in/ on phone & not in iCloud!

sorry I should have explained all of that before I’m just so frustrated by it as this is 3rd time this has happened but for some reason Apple can’t fix it (or won’t) & it’s not resolving itself plus it is worse this time than ever before…

ps - I’ve literally had to off load just about every app I have on phone other than the ones I use daily!

it’s frustrating to say the least.

The iPhone is 128gb

the photo app is using 64gb

with other apps (albeit the majority are now offloaded to safe space) I only have between 5-10 gb max free space but if I take some photos & or videos & don’t immediately use & delete this very quickly becomes 1gb of free space with the warning my iPhone storage is full please manage in settings.

the amount of storage in the iCloud the photos use is 525gb

my iPad has thumbnail / optimised access to all 48000 Photos & videos & it only uses 8gb of its internal storage to store the optimised versions of the 525gb images held in icloud

i have seen for myself other iPhones my friends have which have almost double the number of photos & videos on them yet they only use half the iPhone storage my phone does & instead seems to store master version in iCloud & only a small version of image on the phone (which is exactly the same size of phone as I have)

im therefore frustrated as to why my iPhone is different & not doing the same as everyone else’s phone!

plus the fact my phone keeps stopping syncing & claiming it’s doing it to save battery is strange as it’s not in battery save mode & is glitching.
