Apple Watch After Swimming In Salt Water

After being in the ocean for 4 hours with my Apple Watch SE second gen on my wrist it is not turning on. I have tried charging it and it is just getting hot. There is no response from either the crown or the side button, now I have no idea what to do.

Remove from any charge and let it dry out for 7 to 10 days. Then try charging the device using an Apple cable/puck and Apple Wall Charger. Monitor the charging process for overheating and discontinue charging. If it still fails to charge or overheats, return to Apple for recycling. Putting a wet item in a bag of rice is useless unless you’re planning on making soup with it.
