MacBook Air is not updating the time correctly after not being used for a few months

My Mac won’t update the time or allow me to search anything due to the system not displaying the correct day. Won’t update to today from when I last used it

Issue at date and time in macbook Hi, I have a Macbook Air M2 since October so its brand new. It was working perfectly until today. I wasn’t using the computer for few weeks and It’s battery died during the weeks. So I had to recharge it to start it again. When I opened, first thing that I saw was the time is few hours behind and date was 1 month behind. I directly went to the settings and tried everything at the “Date and Time”. MacBook Air time keeps changing automatically So I have a brand new MacBook Air M2 for a few months now. Today it was the first day I forgot to charge it and the battery drained completely. After plugging it in and powering it on I noticed time had reset to September 6th and it was 3 hours ahead of my time. Settings in the date and time field were all correct yet it wouldn't update from the apple servers. I couldn't even search google for a solution because every search would return the message "Connection could not be established due to wrong clock settings etc." I managed to manually get the correct time by using the command " sudo sntp -sS time.apple.com" and it worked. Problem is new correct time won't stick and as soon as I disconnect from my wifi or restart the MacBook it resets. I really don't know what to do. Any suggestions ?

apple time is not correct according to my location This is my time when using 'apple time' and the dat is June 1. I can't connect this way. For internet for example is not working. Only after l put in the date and time manually. I recently downloaded the latest software version of MacBook Air. Could it be there is a bug?

If the date & time get too far out of sync, you may need to toggle the Network time option off & back on. If that doesn't cause an update, then toggle that option off & manually set the date & time, then re-enable the Network Time option.
