Why does my antiquated iPhone 12 have a moon cycle widget in the weather app but on a new IPad Pro it doesn’t?

Have you updated your iPad to the current version of iPadOS - at time of writing, this being iPadOS 17.5.1?


If you have updated to the most recent version, but remain unable to see the Moon Phase within the Weather App, delete the App from your iPad - and then perform a forced-restart prior to re-installing the Weather App from the App Store:

Remove or delete apps from iPad - Apple Support

Force restart iPad - Apple Support
