SSL is the secure sockets layer, which is a means of providing encrypted and authenticated network connections.
That HTTPS you’ve probably seen when entering website addresses uses SSL for its network connections.
Most app and most iOS networking uses SSL.
Which iOS version? iOS 17.5.1? If not, update to current.
Confirm the time and date and timezone are all set correctly on the iPhone, and also confirm that there are no add-on security apps, no add-on “nanny” or filtering apps, and no add-on VPN apps. If you have any of these add-on security or content-filtering apps or any add-on VPN apps, remove all of those, restart, and try again.
If you have an ad blocker app installed, remove that, and test again.
If there is an organization associated with and managing this iPhone, also check for any add-on profiles from the IT group that might be managing this iPhone.
Also check your Wi-Fi router firmware, and update that if not current. Then restart the Wi-Fi router.
It is also possible the repair is related to this connectivity issue.
