As a rule, you can’t. IOS shares some underpinnings with macOS, but it is still a different operating system. On top of that, Macs with Intel chips don’t even use the same basic type of machine code as the processors in iPhones and iPads.


Apple Silicon Macs can run some iPhone and iPad apps - if the app developer allows it. In those cases, you would get the apps onto your Mac using the Mac’s App Store application. Because iPhones and iPads have very different user interface hardware than Macs, an iPhone or iPad app running on a Mac might have an unrefined user interface.
