New Apple TV 4k to use on vacation

Going on a vacation to a hotel that doesn’t have cable service. What prior set up do I have to do to a brand new Apple 4K TV?

Apple TV 4K, tvOS 17

I would suggest you set it up on your home network first. Log into your Apple ID so that's all done.

Many hotels use what's called a "captive portal" network. That's where you're redirected to a website to log in. Here are the specific instructions for logging into one from an Apple TV:

Change network settings on Apple TV - Apple Support

Also, the hotel may have restrictions on what can be connected. You might want to check about that. Some don't allow streaming video.
