Apple TV subscription not working on second TV

I have an Apple TV subscription through Barclays and I am signed in my account on 2 TVs in my household. However I am only able to watch Apple TV on one of the TVs but not the other.

Whenever I try to select a show to watch, it asks me to subscribe or start a 7 day free trial. I've checked the membership / subscription section in my profile on the TV and it definitely says I have an active subscription so it's very frustrating why it isn't working.

I have signed out and back in several times but it still doesn't solve the problem. I am not trying to watch on both TVs simultaneously just in case that causes a conflict, which it shouldn't anyway as apparently I can share the subscription with up to 5 family members.

Can anyone help on how to fix this please?

TIA

Steve

What is the TV brand, model, smart OS of the TV where the Apple TV app doesn’t work as it should? It is not supposed to nag signed-in subscribers like that.

  1. Have you tried checking for TV system software updates on that TV, and applying if available?
  2. Have you tried a deep TV restart (not just standby-wake)?
  3. Have you tried deleting and re-installing the Apple TV app there?

Indeed, 6 simultaneous streams on one subscriber would even be supported, for Apple TV+.
