Can my Apple Pay be hacked?

So the other day, I checked my bank statement and it appears that somebody used Apple Pay through Crypto.com to top up their crypto visa, possibly so they used Apple Pay through crypto, and they stole money from my account when they chose Apple Pay and then picked my bank card, but it wasn’t through my Crypto.com account. It doesn’t show anything on my end. It is show my bank account losing $700 and some dollars. Before I went to my bank to close my account and get a new card I just locked my car for a few days the next day I believe they used Apple Pay again and picked a different debit card that I had in my wallet on my iPhone. And this time they took about $458 in two separate payments they took $407 after they took $51. I’m wondering who I go Crypto.com to get my money back or apple.com?

iPhone 11, iOS 17

Can Apple Pay be hacked? No, only encrypted data is stored on your iPhone or other devices.

The key to decrypt the data is in your banks possession. Was your bank hacked?

There are lots of fake accounts with web addresses very similar to crypto.com. It’s possible the fraudsters entered the data into their own fake account made to look like a well known online merchant. Can your confirm through your bank that the charges went through the legitimate website?

If your account details were entered onto another Apple device for use with Apple Pay, your bank(s) would have notified you. Your bank might have required you to provide a One Time Passcode. Has that happened? What are your banks protocols for adding cards to Apple Pay? Why did your bank(s) verify the fraudsters identity when they used your stolen card details and entered them into their Apple devices?

The cards that were used, have you ever swiped the card or inserted the chip into an ATM or transaction terminal?
