How to retrieve Airdrop Photos on MacBook?

Someone airdropped important photos to my macbook. It asked if I wanted them to go to downloads or photos, I choose photos. They are not in either folder. But they showed as "sent". I restarted my macbook twice. Where are they?

Open Photos, then on the sidebar, click "Imports". If there is any photos ready for Import, you can click "Import all". I have Airdropped photos go there.
