Use of the iMac display (27-inch, late 2013) with the new MacBook Pro

Can I connect a MacBook Pro (Apple M3 Pro chip) to an iMac (27-inch, late 2013) to use its display if I use a Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 adapter and a Thunderbolt 2 cable? Is this usage supported by macOS on both sides (MacBook: macOS Sonoma, iMac: macOS Catalina)?
