The cds i downloaded onto apple music are no longer in my account. why were they erased, I skipped my subscription for a month . Then when i renewed my subscription all the downloaded music was gone. Is there any way of recovering them. My username and password for apple has not changed. It took me a long time to download the cds.

When you say "cds I downloaded onto apple music", what do you mean?
Are you talking about music from CDs that you own, that you had imported into your Music library, being erased from that Music library? If that happened, that would be bad news, indeed.
Or are you talking about offline listening copies from your Apple Music subscription being erased? Apple Music subscription is a rental service - when you stop paying, your access to the music stops. I believe that triggers a deletion of all of your offline listening copies, and all of your playlists that included "subscription" music.
If you resubscribe to Apple Music, you get to download offline listening copies and build playlists all over again.
