How to fix "Your network preferences prevent content from loading" in iMac Mail

When I open mac mail to read an e-mail I get - your network preferences prevent content from loading - how do I fix this so I can read content>?

But I don't want to wait to load content. I want it when I open the email, but I cannot find which "network preferences" are being referred to. How do I fix this? B. My email keeps not deleting when I press "delete" in mail, but the app converts the content to zero. If I try to delete THAT, it forces an "undelete" action. It seems that the "undeleted" emails eventually hit the trash, but it's kind of messy when doing replies, etc. Thoughts, anyone? Appreciate any advice. thx Peter D.

Mac Mail doesn't open,email accounts won't install Mac Mail takes minutes to open, it won't send or receive emails on both accounts. I have Ventura 13.6.1. The same thing happened before upgrading IOS. My IT Support could not solve the problem (upgrading done to solve, no joy). I had to install email accounts on my browser (Firefox) with limited ability to attach files. What can be done to resolve the issue?

Make sure the "Block All Remote Content" checkbox is not checked. You may have to uncheck "Protect Mail Activity" temporarily to do so.
