Updated. Now blue box with questions mark instead of pictures

Lordy, lordy. I hate updates. This is only ONE if the problems I am having... I am trying to ready online articles from my local newspaper, the NYT, multiple newsletters I get via email, and there are NO PICTURES. Just a big white space with a tiny blue box containing a question mark. There are now blue blue boxes around everything I type, no matter where. Emails, Facebook replies, etc. Not acceptable.

iPad Pro, 4th gen and Logitech K380 keyboard with fully charged batteries, reset yesterday.

iPad Pro, iPadOS 17

There's currently an issue with Apple's Private Relay service - that also affects the related Mail Privacy Protection.

The workaround, pending restoration of normal services, is to disable Mail Privacy:

Settings > Mail > [Messages] Privacy Protection > Protect Mail Activity - set to OFF

This workaround won't restore images for email already delivered to your iPad, but should resolve the problem for new mail that you receive.

Thanks, Lotus Pilot -- I will give this a try. Would it also affect my keyboard's response? The space bar is slow to respond. I kinda have to slam it to get it to work.
