I had a previous Apple ID but when I got a new iPad added a new Apple ID. The question; can you change the established Apple ID to my other Apple ID account. Again, 2 accounts are established, wanting to change Apple ID on device 1 to the Apple ID on device 2. Not looking to creat anything thing new.

You can sign out of the account on there now and sign in with the other. If you say to keep data it will merge the two accounts to some extent. However, subscriptions and purchases cannot be transferred between accounts, only shared using Family Sharing. If you plan on doing that, you may wish to turn off optimization if you have been using it. That will ensure full quality photos are on the device and will transfer to the other account.
Apple has the system designed that you only use ID unless you truly want to have a completely separate persona (such as a work-only).
