Recover photos from iPhone with black screen

Were you using iCloud Photos? If so, the phone would have been storing copies of all of your photos in iCloud (assuming that you had enough space), and you would be able to see them by logging into

https://www.icloud.com/

or connecting a new device to the same iCloud and iCloud Photos account.

If you were not using iCloud Photos, but you were making backups of your phone AND including photos in those backups, you might be able to recover the photos by restoring the backup to another device.
