I purchased a peacock subscription purchased through my Apple TV but when I try to open the peacock app it wants my email and password.

I’m logged into Apple TV on the same account that I used to purchase my Peacock subscription. I download the Peacock app, and it’s asking me to logon, but it’s asking for a Peacock account, not my Apple logon. (If I try using my Apple ID, it says there’s no such account.) If I try to create an account, its asking me to pay for a Peacock plan, even thought I already did that via Apple TV subscription. The Peacock app does not appear to be aware that I purchased a subscription, and there doesn’t seem to be a way to access the Peacock content without purchasing a subscription for a 2nd time. Obviously, that’s not what I want to do. This question was posted in 2022 by another user, and I consulted the response, but did not find it helpful. Really appreciate if someone could post a thoughtful new response rather than regurgitating the previous response. If that doesn’t work, I’m going to need a refund, but I’m missing the Olympics while I wait. Thanks!

If the third party subscription is billed through your Apple ID, then you should be able to “load” that subscription by finding an option for “Restore Purchases” in their app on other Apple devices. It wouldn’t load automatically (the first time), but requires this user action. [Applies to most third party apps with subscriptions through Apple.]

Ask Peacock TV Help Center if you can’t find it, as this app is not available in my country for me to show it or describe it in detail.

Peacock indeed wouldn’t know about your subscription, as Apple hides that behind an anonymous Subscriber ID, not giving out your Apple ID to the content provider.

What you instead should get from Peacock Support, is where in their app Apple subscribers should be able to find the option to load the existing subscription, i.e. “Restore Purchases”.

I'm having the exact same issue. There is not restore purchases option in the iPhone Peacock app, online Peacock site, or Peacock Apple TV app. I can't use the subscription on any devices, but Apple shows I have a subscription through June of 2025. As the original poster noted, there are other users experiencing this issue all the way back to 2022, and it has not been fixed. Wondering if the original poster found a resolution.

After going back and forth explaining, providing examples of others with this issue from these types of threads, and providing all documentation including the receipt from Apple (of tye Peacock subscription), and my credit card statement, below is what I got from them. I guess they want me to show a credit card statement that references Peacock even though the purchase was made through Apple. Makes no sense. If you buy eggs from the grocery store, the name of the store will be on your credit card statement, not the brand of eggs.

This was their final answer. I asked to be escalated to a manager. I’m waiting.
