can't delete a game I downloaded via steam, even though I moved it to the trash bin and cleared it.

I tried to delete counter strike, I downloaded it from steam. I threw it to the trash. and still see it in grey in the storage (75gb). can't delete it from there.

I delete the steam app as well, but when I restart the Mac - the steam app opens automatically.


I can't find either one of them anywhere on the computer - not the app, nor finder.

  1. I just see the counter strike app in the storage (can't delete it - shows in grey).
  2. and steam opens automatically when I turn on the Mac.

You did not properly uninstall the Steam game. Here is a Steam article with the proper instructions for uninstalling individual games from Steam and how to even uninstall the Steam app itself if you want to completely remove Steam as well:
