Mail - Your network preferences prevent content from loading privately ????

Yesterday, when I was looking at my mail messages, I noted that the content of some of them did not load.

Then, at the top of the "mail screen" I saw this little message:

"Your network preferences prevent content from loading privately"

Then a space and a box with "Load Content Directly".

If you click the box, the "content" loads.

Now I have not done a darn thing to change how mail handles anything. And I have not done anything to my network "connection". So, would someone tell me what the heck is going on an why.

Thanks.

If that's what I think it is, it may be a recent change to the way Mail handles remote content — remote content being message contents that reside on a system other than the one hosting the email message itself.

And, if that's what I think it is, the above message is not worded in a helpful manner, because it is not your network preferences that are blocking that content.
