Most of my softwares are saying I need to up date to MacOS 11. I have macOS Catalina 10.15.7 can I upgrade to Big Sur 11?

I got if figured out..my computer is in the basement in my craft room and my wifi router is upstairs.. it wasn’t letting system updates check for updates. I took the Mac upstairs and it started right away with the newest update version!

it's in the list of compatible macOS systems. I followed a video on how to update from App Store but it won't download. When I check my storage space it says I have 818.5 GB free of a 1.03 TB so that shouldn't be the problem.
