JBL TUNE225 TWS earbuds connects to my MacBook Pro but not to my iPhone 13

JBL TUNE225 TWS ear buds connect to Macbook Pro but not iphone 13. Both have the latest iOS updates. iPhone does not even discover it. Does this have to do with the iOS for iPhone?

i have already tried disconnecting all bluetooth devices, turning Bluetooth off and on, etc.
