iPhone 12 static noise when recording video using front camera in camera app

In a perfectly quiet room, there is a static clicking noise in the background when I am recording myself speaking, using the iPhone 12. This doesn't happen with the back camera or in other apps such as Instagram or WhatsApp. Appears it's an issue with the camera app on certain versions of iPhone. I see other people have this issue, but can't find a FIX (if there is one other than changing phones). Can anyone assist with this?
