Face ID not working

My Face ID stopped working all of a sudden. Have had the newest IO (17.5.1) for a bit. I’ve gone through alternative restarts that have been suggested through this forum and others. The only thing I haven’t done is back up the phone and do a complete. Has anyone come up with a fix? Apple. Maybe chime in other than the same default response that doesn’t work?

I recently updated to 15.6, later that day, i get a pop up to say Face ID isn't working. I've done a reset for Face ID, this wouldnt let me re-set it up. I then turned my phone off and on, it would allow me to set up Face ID and was working for 2 or 3 times until I got the message again that Face ID had failed. Is this purely co-incidental that its after the 15.6 update? Any suggestions?

Face ID not working after iOS 18.3.1 upgrade on iPhone Face ID stopped working after 18.3.1. Tried resetting Face ID and powering off/on phone. Camera ia not obstructed and works for other functions. [Re-Titled by Moderator]

17.1.1 and Face Id After I installed 17.1.1 my Face ID stopped working. I reset it and even though it took the reset, nothing works as in recognizing it. Curious to see if it was based on the last update 17.1.1. Using an iPhone 13 Pro Max. Face ID is used daily many times and was working fine before the update.

Have you performed all these steps? What did Apple Support tell you when you contacted them?
