My iPhone will not recognize my SIM card and I’m not able to use FaceTime or iMessage

Dear AppleCare Support Team,

I hope this message finds you well.

I am experiencing an issue with my Apple device related to my SIM card and the connection of FaceTime and iMessage. Specifically, I am unable to associate my SIM card with my Apple device, which is affecting my ability to use FaceTime and iMessage with my phone number.

**Issue Details:**

- **Device Model:** [iphone 11]

- **iOS Version:** [ iOS 17.1]

- **Carrier:** [Ncell 58.0]

- **Description of the Problem:** My device does not recognize my SIM card, and I am unable to use FaceTime and iMessage with my phone number. I have tried restarting my device and resetting network settings, but the issue persists.

I would greatly appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter. Please let me know if you require any additional information or if there are specific troubleshooting steps I should follow.

Thank you for your support.

Best regards,

Prabesh

This is not Apple Support, this is a user-to-user tech support forum, where other uses can give advice. If your SIM isn’t recognized contact your carrier and get a replacement SIM. This is not an iPhone problem, it is a carrier problem.

The SIM card is the entire problem. Without a working SIM card it is not possible to activate FaceTime and iMessage, and without a SIM card your phone does not have a phone number at all.

Also, the current iOS version is 17.6, so yours is way out of date.
