My iPhone 15 Pro Max battery health has dropped significantly

My iPhone's battery health has been declining noticeably for several months. After only 208 charging cycles, the battery condition is 93%.

There are also problems with optimized charging - it either works occasionally or does not work at all. Turning this feature off and on does not solve the problem.

Is this a warranty case?

“Only 208 cycles” is a funny expression. That’s almost half of the 500 cycles that the phone is rated for to stay above 80%. Doing the math, that works out to losing 1% for every 25 cycles. 208/25 is 8.32, 100% - 8.32 is 91% (because the gauge only reports the decimal, not the fraction). So for 208 cycles your phone is doing slightly better than it is rated for.

Optimized charging is designed to work when you are home, overnight. If you are not home, or you don’t put the phone on the charger overnight every night, it can’t track your usage well enough to work effectively. This is explained here→About Optimized Battery Charging on your iPhone - Apple Support

If it falls below 80% within your warranty period (or your AppleCare+, if purchased) it will be covered by warranty.
