Can we drop of old hardware at Apple Stores for recycling?

An alternative: As I am 100 miles from the nearest Apple Store, I now use Staples in-store recycling for all our old tech. They have a very liberal policy about what they will accept. See their page on the subject:

Hello~ Yes… they will accept most old hardware. Depending on what exactly you want to recycle…make sure you properly prepare the device beforehand.
