iPad Pro lost screen sensitivity: is it age or sanitizer??

The glass screen on my iPad Pro has lost much of its sensitivity. I believe it is about five years old, although on the legal and regulatory page, it no longer list its manufacture date. Does Apple have any explanation for this? Does Apple or anyone have a remedy? Has Apple looked at the impact of the market, increase in the use of hand sanitizer during and after Covid, on the ability of iPad screens, to recognize finger touches? I note that I do not have the same issue with my iPhone please help.
