iPad's battery drains and gets hot while taking notes

Hi! 👋

Usually my iPad (10th gen) stays more than 6 hours and sometimes even 10 on one single charge. But that's just when I'm browsing the web, editing documents or watching Netflix. (Just basic tasks)

Recently I've been noticing that my iPad's battery drains and gets really hot (over 98ºF) when I'm taking notes with my pencil on Apple notes. For an example today I just took notes on my iPad for about 3 and a half hours on a full charge and now I'm just at 11 percent.

Do you know if this is normal, and what could be causing this ?
