Burn/Rash where round ‘contact’ portion of my Apple Watch Series 8 touches skin

I just jumped on here and saw several questions/concerns and photos of exact issue I am having with my Series 8 Apple Watch. I develop a red shiny rash in the exact circular shape and size as the round contact portion of the watch touches my wrist. Has any further research, information, or determination of cause, and/or any potential solutions to this issue? I have not had this occur with my previous fitness band or regular watches. I do not suffer from psoriasis, but this looks very similar to photos of the shiny psoriasis rash. So, am confused as to what this can be. If I remove the watch for a few days to a week it generally clears, only to return after a few days to a week or two. I have had this watch over a year, and just complained to family and friends about it without looking up whether others were having similar issues. After the first couple of rashes, I have removed the watch and cleaned the back and the band (which does not bother me) pretty much daily, and Always when I charge the watch.

Your issue is common enough that multiple physicians have posted videos on YouTube explaining what’s going on. I’ve linked my favorite below and it’s only 30 seconds.

Please make an appointment with your primary care physician and get a diagnosis of your condition. Your Dr. may refer you to an allergist or dermatologist to confirm the diagnosis.

Please let the community know what the diagnosis is and I hope everything goes well.

You may have contact dermatitis caused by an allergic reaction or sensitivity to Nickel in the metal cases or bands. Nickel is used in the hardening process of stainless steel, aluminum and sapphire crystal.

>>In fact, it is estimated that more than 18 percent of people in North America are allergic to nickel, including 11 million children in the U.S.<<
