itunes not showing the "device" icon.

I dont have a UBS-A to USB-C cable, and i am trying to sync wirelessly(under the same wifi). Anyone know how I can get the device icon to show? Or I must have the cable to connect for the first time in order to enable this feature?

I am on a windows computer.
