IOS 17.6 power button delay

So after updating to iOS 17.6, there is a short 1 second delay before the screen just abruptly turns off. I’m on the 15 pro. Is it just me?

Also side note: after updating i saw that ‘astronomy’ randomly ran in the background for a few mins which is weird.
