After updating to iOS 17.6 CarPlay is not working.
It tries to connect to the car but fails.
Reboot and hard reboot didn’t help

I believe I found my issue now, when connected to VPN then connecting to CarPlay doesn’t work.
It could be resolved when you remove your car id in carplay list on iPhone and reconnect.

Nope - not for me. Tried several times, and same problem. My issue started the day when I just updated.
After updating to iOS 17.6 CarPlay is not working properly. Audi A6 Has anyone resolved this yet?
Same here. I finally got it back in my 2023 Kia Rio after messages saying I didn’t have CarPlay several times.

Delete the car ID in iPhone?
My problem was resolved the way on iOS 17.6.1
Quick update, I upgraded to iOS 17.6.1 and everything was fixed.
UPDATE: CarPlay works in a 2021 Lexus with usb connection. 2025 Acura, usb or wireless, will not play music.
Reset the information system to factory settings. Reconnected CarPlay. CarPlay now works again.
Did not work for me , how did you factory reset? I have Toyota Camry 2020 , CarPlay works on 17.5.1 but not on 17.6.1 . Tried all the settings on phone and car /(
Somewhere out here in internet land, there is information on resetting the information system to factory settings.
So,
I had a call with Apple support & what worked for me was to disconnect all connections to the car & reset the car infotainment to default settings & worked again
Updated to 17.6.1 last night CarPlay will not work no matter what I try.
Same problem for us. Both our iPhones won’t connect to CarPlay after updating to 17.6
Definitely is the iOS update
haven’t had issues and plugged in my old phone operating on older iOS and it works!!
