Carplay not working after updating to iOS 17.6

After updating to iOS 17.6 CarPlay is not working.

It tries to connect to the car but fails.

Reboot and hard reboot didn’t help

Why has this issue not been resolved yet? Update 17.6.1 doesn’t solve it either. This is a huge issue for users and can cause driving safety concerns. It is insanely frustrating that it’s been a problem for this long already

FIXED… in our case anyway…

after resetting the Honda Accord back to it's factory setting,

and re-connecting iPhone to the car's CarPlay

Before this 2 of the 5 iPhones linked to the car were deletable from the car's list, but the other 3 would go into a loop, and end up un-deleted.

Also no new phones could connect, and a previously connected iPhone just stopped, seemingly after the 17.6.1 update

Confounding… maybe Honda Accord, and others, have some indexing issue that was exacerbated by the 17.6.1 release… who knows… question is can  and Honda collaborate to debug this and prevent similar issues.

I can't believe how much we missed  CarPlay !

im sorry but these suggestions are not helpful

i have done all that you are suggesting, I’m using a compatible car, I have reset it to factory settings just in case but the issue is clearly not with the car

it seems that Apple car play stopped working after latest iOS update and there a no other update to do.

odd thing is I plug in the phone and I can listen to music from my phone even after I disconnect it

but interface is not available

This is the third Chev in this thread. Wonder if that’s a Chev issue. My Toyota RAV4 CarPlay is working fine on iOS 18.0.1 and has rarely had any hiccups. The only issues I’ve found is if I have dust or lint in the charging port as mine is wired only. Clean the port and I’m good. I saw a wired one with issues above but are all the rest wireless?

***UPDATE*** After almost 3 month, mine is finally working on my Chevy Blazer. It wasn’t an issue with my IPhone or the software at all. It wasn’t the USB-C port in the radio. They ended up having to replace the entire radio and now it works fine. My suggestion is if you have a friend or family member with Apple CarPlay on their car test your phone there. If it works in another car, it’s not your phone. They gave me a loaner car on order to try and figure out the problem and as soon as I plugged in my

phone CarPlay worked. So I told them immediately that there was no way it could be my phone. Boom, new radio, no more problem. Thankfully I have an extended warranty. If you try your phone in another car and CarPlay still doesn’t work, then you may be having a different issue than I was.
