How can I identify if an iPhone is fake or not with the model number?

my model number 5Q1D3LL/A. Is it genuine or fake?. iphone 14 pro

It's an iPhone that has been refurbished, but the remanufacturing work was not performed by Apple.


So, there might be a question about whether the phone came with a "new" or "used" battery for example.


If you bought the phone from a store that claimed that this was a "new" iPhone, it wasn't new.

Model numbers and serial numbers are routinely copied, which means model numbers and serial numbers and warranty status checks are not a useful or reliable means for detecting counterfeits.


That model number is probably associated with a 256 GB purple iPhone 14 Pro eSIM model, based on some Paraguayan websites. If it’s real. I don’t see that model listed elsewhere, and most of the Apple model numbers start with M, N, F, or P, and AFAIK not 5, and MQ1D3 (MQ1D3LL/A) is real.
