There’s no secret code to tell if you’re hacked.
There are lots of entertainment videos posted around the ‘net, too.
Some can be correct, some are incorrect, and some are just ad-supported AI-generated drivel.
With most carriers, the *#21# short code tells you whether call forwarding is enabled.
But short codes can vary by carrier. Here is T-Mobile: https://www.t-mobile.com/support/plans-features/self-service-short-codes
Call forwarding is a normal and useful feature of iPhone.
Usual output for that short code (with a typical setup) looks like this:
Cryptic and ominous wording, but utterly benign.
You could more easily look up that same info returned by the short code directly on your iPhone without the short code, or use your iPhone switch call forwarding in or off: Set up call forwarding on iPhone - Apple Support
And when forwarding is active, look at the top of the display, as that shows an icon indicating that call-forwarding is active: Status icons and symbols on your iPhone - Apple Support
For assistance with or questions about carrier short codes and self-service codes (USSD, etc), contact your carrier.
Some of the video claims around this short code are, well, hilarious.
No hack, and no need to reset or replace your phone here, either.
