Is there a cost effective way to get my iPad repaired?
I sent my iPad for repair and received a replacement iPad since I was under AppleCare. I'm curious if the replacement was refurbished because I graduated just after receiving it. I hardly used the replacement, maybe 15 to 20 times over the last two years. Recently, when I tried to use it, I discovered it was stuck in a restart loop. I visited the service center, and they informed me that it couldn't be repaired and a replacement would cost around 1200 AUD, which is not much different from a brand new one. Is there any way I can get a replacement for less? Apple provided me with a refurbished iPad instead of a brand new one, even though I was under AppleCare when my original iPad broke. I believe I should have received a new device in that situation.
