magic mouse tracking speed slider missing

I want to change my magic mouse tracking speed. However, when I open System Settings, Mouse. the tracking speed slider is missing. The"Tracking Speed" header is there, and the "Fast and Slow" subheadings are there on either side as they should be, but there is noting below where the slider should be. I am running the latest version of Sonoma on an M3 chip iMac..

Kensingtonworks software issues with Expert Mouse on MacBook Air I used to have a Kensington Expert Mouse and loved it. Then Kensington brought out its Kensingtonworks software and all hell broke loose. The cursor jumped everywhere, wouldn't scroll without skipping, etc. etc. I tried downloading the last version of the software and it still did the same things. I checked around and everywhere Mac people were having similar problems. I finally gave away my Expert Mouse and got a Magic Trackpad, which works beautifully, but is now hurting my fingers from pressing on it. I would love to get another trackball, but don't know if they've fixed the software (and I don't want to buy another trackball just to find out). Does anyone know if the latest Kensingtonworks release has fixed all the problems? (For Heaven's sake, Kensington was originally made for Macs!!) Unable to adjust Mouse speed and see Track bar on iMac 2017 Running latest Ventura OS 2017 with 27"screen When I got the iMac from my dad, we reset the OS. I plugged in a PC keyboard and PC gaming mouse, which worked, but the mouse was super slow to move, horribly so. Went into mouse settings to adjust speed and I did speed to max and it sped up but strangely the trackbar completely vanished. So thinking something with PC mouse, I bought a Bluetooth mouse and set it up. Still no trackbar appears to change the speed. How do I fix this? More info, with PC mouse plugged in Bluetooth mouse is way too fast. Unplug PC mouse and Bluetooth mouse is way to slow. [Re-Titled by Moderator]
