Ridding of Tracking from AirPods:

Unpair these from your iPhone. Elsewise they’ll just show up on Find My wherever your iPhone is(because your phone has the IP Address that allows for tracking things down). If your phone is not on your it will be seen where to left it (if it was powered on, and if you had Cellular or WiFi service.

AirPod Tracking You:

AirPods are not tracking you, as they are not provided their own IP Address. What you are seeing is the location on the device these ware paired with. So, have no worries, if it is paid with the device you are using these with. It is how FindMy works. So, if you were to travel to another country, yet left these back at home, then they would see you where are --not back at home.
