If you have a device older than iPhone 7, so iPhone 6, 6s, 6s Plus, or previous generations, you will not get iOS update 15.2. However, if you have an iPhone 15 Pro Max like you put as your device, your device will automatically come with iOS 17, two generations after iOS 15.2. You will not be able to switch to previous generations of iOS.
