Why is it showing my iPhone is hacked and to download Total Safety

I was awakened at 3 am by my Phone saying that I had been hacked and to download Total Safety - Mobile Security and I had 3 days to make up my mind about whether I wanted to continue or not. After reading Apple support I am seeing that I'm not the only one. I had signed onto PC Matic and am now wondering what is the best online security software to use for all my apple devices? I do appreciate any feedback anyone can give. I have used Norton in the past, McAfee, etc and was not happy with any of them. I'm very picky.

You saw a message from scammers that are trying to trick you into buying useless software that will do nothing to help your phone. (But it will slow it down and put money in the pockets of the scammers selling this junk).

Just because you saw a message does not mean that it is true. Don't fall for the scams that are trying to trick and scare you. Your phone is fine.

The absolute "best" anti-virus software for your phone is None. You have all the protection you need built into the iOS system.
