Why is there no feedback option for Preview?
Apple suggests you give feedback via their Product Feedback page. But there is no option to give feedback for Preview. Why?

What about TextEdit, Chess, Calculator, Clock, Dictionary, etc. There are lots of little apps that don't qualify for individual feedback buttons.
One theory might be that apps that don't receive enough feedback might be discontinued one day in the future. But then you can still submit feedback for iBook Author and macOS Server, both of which were discontinued years ago.
But it's all a moot point, isn't it? The official "feedback" page is obviously just a bit-bucket. If you wanted to submit a bug report or enhancement request for Preview, you should use the confusingly named Feedback Assistant page or use the hidden "Feedback Assistant" app that is already installed on your computer. Years ago, this used to be called the "bug reporter".
Realistically, you shouldn't expect any different outcome with Feedback Assistant. But if you're lucky enough, and you write a good enough bug report, you might get a nonsensical reply back from Apple. There's literally nothing that discourages use of Feedback Assistant more than using Feedback Assistant. 😄

For comments on macOS components like Preview, I recommend this feedback link:
Remember—you are not asking Apple in these user-to-user forums.
nobody Here would know why.
